John Carpenter and Debra Hill discuss Escape from New York

Escape from New York is being remade by Robert Rodriguez, which is as pointless as it is unsurprising. I always knew this day would come, but it doesn’t make it any less disappointing. Now that Jay and Silent Bob are getting a reboot, I think it’s safe to say Rodriguez and Kevin Smith are in a contest to see who can become the most disconnected and irrelevant filmmaker.
